Are you ready for Spring? Our designers are here to help you get prepared! This Saturday, Garden Supply Company is hosting our annual Spring Open House. We're doing things a little differently this time so that we can better help you transform your yard into a lush garden paradise. This time around, we're inviting you to meet the designers. Get to know the brains behind all this beauty! Get a sneak peek of our designers below but we do suggest you come meet them in-person! Added bonus: Boy Scouts Troop 152 will be serving pizza from our brick oven and grilling hot dogs, Girl Scouts will be selling cookies, Ed and Sue Ramsey will be on site with their watercolor paintings and hand-crafted pottery for sale. We've also updated our indoor boutique and have a fresh selection of houseplants. Don't forget to check out our trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals fresh from the farm! And, last but not least, Bond Brothers will be on site from 10am-4pm serving up a tasty local brew.

After 30 years of owning a full service florist in northern New Jersey, Jay and his wife Elin relocated to the Raleigh area for a slower lifestyle and the Carolina Blue sky. Still having the passion to create and a love for flowers and plants, Jay found Garden Supply was a wonderful place to express himself. Jay assists our customers with plant selection, garden design, and overall plant health concerns. Jay especially enjoys designing containers. Stop in and see what art he’s made in our gardens this season, and share in his passion for plants’ color and textures.
Anna is another one of our talented artists in the garden. Fresh flowers and vegetables have always been on Anna’s table. As a small child, her parents taught her a love of gardening and the gratification of eating and preserving freshly picked vegetables and fruits. From terrariums and fairy gardens for indoors to large-scale exterior commercial projects, Anna has you covered! Anna attributes her success to her husband and two daughters, and much of her creative inspiration and knowledge from her mother-in- law, Mary. Bring Anna your containers and ideas, and together you will create a living work of art!
Christopher Twohig has a passion for art, aesthetics, garden design and horticulture. He holds a degree from Tyler School of Art with a concentration in Painting and Printmaking, and an Art History Minor with the interdisciplinary Landscape Architecture/Horticulture programme at Temple University. Shortly after his education and before moving to Cary, North Carolina he was a gardener on the Philadelphia Main Line and surrounding suburbs. The history of gardening and plant collection is very much an interest of his, as is especially the meadow, woodland garden, the stumpery, and the herbaceous border.
Lynn Masters works as Garden Supply Company’s gift shop buyer and merchandiser. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a BFA in Art & Design in 2014. Lynn plans the gift area displays, and is the go-to girl for where things are in the store. Lynn loves a creative challenge, and when’s she’s not hanging lights or decorating the greenhouse at Garden Supply, she’s working on a new piece of art in her free time. And when she’s not busy with that, she’s in the garden! Find her work on display (in fact it IS the display!) at Garden Supply year round, or look for her personal work on Instagram at @Lynn__Bird.
