Who's ready for a fiesta?! We are! Gear up for Cinco de Mayo by grabbing some grub from your garden (cilantro and cucumbers to be specific) to hand-craft your own garden to table cocktail. We know you'll love this Cinco de Cilantro-Cumber Margarita just as much as we do!
Cinco de Cilantro-Cumber Margarita
3 peeled and thinly sliced cucumbers from the garden and 1 unpeeled slice
2 tbsp cilantro leaves from the garden and 1 sprig
2 tbsp sugar
3 lime wedges
Juice of one lime
2 1/2 ounces silver tequila
2 ounces triple sec
In a cocktail shaker, muddle your peeled cucumber slices, 2 tablespoons of cilantro, sugar and a lime wedge. Add triple sec, tequila and lime juice and fill with ice. Shake well. Rub the glass rim with your lime wedges and then salt. Fill the glass with ice, strain and pour the cocktail from your shaker into the glass. Then get fiesta fancy with it and garnish with the unpeeled cucumber slice and cilantro sprig. Repeat and serve to your amigos and let the garden party begin!
