Beekeeping 101

This is the first class in our 3 part beekeeping series with our resident bee expert Jason Cirioli.  In Beekeeping 101 participants will be introduced to beekeeping and will learn: when and how to start keeping bees, what is a beehive or bee colony, and the parts of a traditional hive.  At the end of the workshop participants will: know what to expect from your bees, have set goals for your hive and have learned how to approach your bees with your goals in mind.

This class is perfect for the "apiary to be", a way to introduce beekeeping to a person who thinks they want to keep bees but they need more info before diving in or the person just starting out who needs direction and inspiration!

The class is limited in size and has a registration fee of $20.
