Certified Plant Professional & member of NCAN (NC Association of Nurserymen)
Matthew brings his special skills to landscape design, focusing on creating outdoor rooms and spaces that allows one to reconnect with nature. He specializes in combining hardscapes with plants, balancing and complementing one another in a way that becomes first functional, then whimsical and delightful.
Matthew Noel- “What I love about working at Garden Supply Co. is that it truly is unique to be able to walk a client through a design in the nursery, showing the plants and giving them a chance to digest and have some visuals as what to expect versus throwing them head-first into a design with 30 different plant names and telling them, “Trust me – you’ll like them.” It takes so much of the pressure off of the client.”
Janene- Sales Manager
Janene joins us with over 27 years of retail management experience in the specialty and department store industry in the Virginia, Washington DC, and North Carolina markets. She has managed for such companies as Limited Too, Dillards department store, and World Market, and now shares her vast expertise with us here at Garden Supply Co.
Janene- “I come to Garden Supply Co. as an avid home gardener in hopes of learning about a new industry while still bringing a fresh perspective with my vast sales experience.”
Brittany- Merchandise Manager/Assistant Buyer
Having always loved art and aesthetics, Brittany knew she wanted to spend her days where she could work hands-on with design. She began her career in the colorful world of interiors, merchandising and designing for local furniture boutiques and clients in Greenville, NC. From there she managed at Bevello, a high-end clothing boutique where she found her passion lay in styling for fashion shows and especially creating floor sets. After making the move to Raleigh, NC in 2011, she landed the position as Designer at Garden Supply Company.
Brittany- “I love that Garden Supply is the perfect canvas to be creative. There is always a change to make on the floor from painting walls to constructing seasonal displays. It is truly rewarding to see the look on our customers’ faces when they see a new display and get inspired to re-create a look at home. That’s what shopping should be all about, gaining inspiration in the shopping experience.”
Allison- Landscape Designer
A.S. Degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Foothill College in 1999
Allison owned a residential maintenance company specializing in fine garden care and organic gardening. She has had the privilege to work in gardens featured in Sunset Magazine and Organic Gardening Magazine. With the start of her family, she began doing design work full time. She was the owner of Allison Sanders Landscape Design, in Hollister, CA.
In 2005 Allison moved to North Carolina and began working for Garden Supply Co. In 2010 she completed the Master Gardener program to further educate herself about gardening in the south. With her years of experience in every level of landscaping, she brings her hands on approach to designing a garden that meets the individual needs of her customers.
Allison- “Having the nursery at your disposal and a buyer that loves all types of plants makes the design process fun and easy. The family atmosphere that Garden Supply Co. has and the relationships that we develop with our customers is what I love most.”
