Keith comes from a long background of gardeners, with a humble beginning working in his mother’s florist shop in Richmond Virginia. At an early age he showed signs of being an entrepreneur by selling “sharp pencils” and dividing the family’s Liriope up to repot and sell from the trunk of his mom’s car. As a teenager, Keith worked in a small, family owned garden center. From there he entered college to pursue a landscape design degree while operating a small landscape design business, which he co-owned. After college Keith worked for a full-service interior and exterior installation firm for seven years, opening a branch office in Virginia Beach in 1989 and in Raleigh in 1991. He moved to Cary that year.
Kitty Mazza, General Manager
In February of 2002 I answered a small ad in the Cary News “looking for a few avid gardeners”. Over the years I have learned so much more about plants, the industry and gardening here in NC. In 2009 I took the job of GM and love the people I work for and with, the look and feel of our store and the wonderful customers who are supportive and loyal to this family owned business.

Her love for the outdoors and gardening came from her dad and she remembers how she loved to work in the yard as a little kid. Each state had it's own unique challenges to gardening, but she loves gardening in North Carolina the best.

Fresh flowers and vegetables have always been on my table. As a small child, my parents taught me the love of gardening and the gratification of eating and preserving freshly picked vegetables and fruits. I like to grow plants that are unique and help me to be creative in design whether it be in arrangements, containers or fairy gardens. I contribute my success to my husband and two daughters who believe and support me in everything I do. Bring me your containers and ideas and together we will create a work of art.
